RE:Seniors care homesHi Pandora I read your post on virus outbreaks in senior care facilities. I know of 2 people that have a business in providing personal care workers to both individuals and retirement homes or senior residence, these workers if assigned to a senior residence will only assist one person however they are in continuous contact with all staff at that facility I.e. other PCW, nurses, doctors & kitchen workers plus food and supply people. Many of these workers also are in contact with other senior homes so this is the perfect associated population for the virus to flourish ... prior to this virus whenever I visited my uncle who resided in a senior home I didn't see any washing of hands or sanitizers being used! The only people I did see use hand washing and hand sanitizing were doctors & nurses the rest didn't seem to other then after diaper changes. So Pandora your concerns are warranted and let's hope attitudes have changed during this outbreak.
