RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Teranga in GDX soon??Hey Bob

I have not mastered the art of selling, but have graduated 101 Selling - which boils down to "no one ever went broke takig a profit."  The key for me was establishing a core postion for more longer term, and a trading postion (say 1/3) to take short term profits if available.  I will say that if a stock looks like its extremely overbought in the short term (e.g TGZ wehn in ran to $ 8.80 in Feb) I will sell more than just my trading postion...I will liquidate my core position as well, with an intention to re-buy lower.  Similarly if a stock looks way oversold (e.g TGZ at $ 4.xx) I will increase my core & trading postion.  I missed the $ 4's a few weeks back, but bought some "extra" in the $ 5's, those were sold in the $ 7's (with absolutely no regret because I still have my core, and usual trading positon).

While it's not a good feeling knowing that you could have held on for longer, It's a better feeling to know that you locked in profits but are still enjoying the upside (you especially feel good, if it ends up retreating right after a profit taking sale)

FWIW, I do a gree with you that the vast majority of investors are not even thinking about gold and related gold equities even now.  When it does occur to them, they will be chasing it up to extremes.  That's is when my core positons will be liquidated.  I expect doubles, triples..all the way up to 10 baggers for the smaller riskier plays.
