Canadian banks to ease credit standards to energy sector

Canadian banks to ease credit standards to energy sectorObviously this is welcome new for the industry and for BNE in particular.  perhaps this explains part of the pop at close yesterday.  Thank god management prioritized bank debt reduction in 2019 and were able to reduce it by 11% yoy.

"Canadian banks are beginning to relax lending standards for energy firms struggling to operate with oil prices at half the level needed to cover costs, seeking to keep them afloat until the industry recovers from its deepest slump ever."
