iONEBIO Kits Have NOT Been Approved or Used in Korea Datametrex claims that the iONEBIO tests "are the same test kits" that have been successfully used in South Korea, but iONEBIO's own website states that as of April it does not yet have domestic regulatory approval for the test
The Datametrex press release claims that the iONEBIO tests it has the rights to sell in Canada and the US are same tests that have been used in Korean "drive-through" testing and to test every traveller entering into South Korea. Here is the quote:
"The COVID-19 test kits are manufactured by iONEBIO INC. in South Korea, and are the same test kits that have been successfully used in South Korea in their “drive-through” testing stations. This kit has also been used to test every traveller entering into South Korea and those testing positive for Covid-19 were immediately isolated."
But iONEBIO's English-language website under the FAQ section (https://covid19korea.com/faq) states that domestic regulatory approval by the Korean FDA is still in progress and expected in April.
If that is the case, how could these have been the same test kits used drive-throughs and on travellers as claimed by Datametrex?
