Not to mention that a lack of maintenance and spending in operations, will inevitably lead to more spills occuring as things corrode, and inspections go down due to reduced staffing. This all leads to more cleanup operations (many of which are covered by insurance). So more landfilling, more water disposal required, etc. The announcement of government $ for orphan well cleanup will also likely benefit this company more than any producer, as they run a few hazardous waste class II landfills across the province that will surely see an influx of contaminated soils from these activities.
