Lebel's agenda

Lebel's agendaWe live in a world of agendas, everyone has one. If you own shares, it's straightforward, you want them to go up in price. Lebel has a very specific agenda. For example, he says (many times) go private is not going to happen while at the same time he states if it goes bankrupt, the family could buy it out of bankruptcy and liabilities could be eliminated - posted that many times. Reality as everyone knows, the bondholders take control in a BK situation and being a Federal statute, Quebec loses control as well. Moreover, if that was the plan, why sell all those assets? Keep them, bk, and carry on. Finally, go private family maintains control and decides what happens. BK, a (federal) judge appointed by Ottawa decides. Another example was his insistence on book value, the most ludicrous argument ever made. But he repeated it perhaps hundreds of times. Why? Because it sounds good and it makes Bombardier look bad.
