In regards to the 48 month moving average for gold prices and other cycles.

Go to Kitco.com or most any other gold dealer.

At kitco click on the tab Buy/Sell Gold & Silver
Scoll down the page to Buy Precious Metals Shop Now
Click on that Tab.
Click on Gold Products

You will see a list of available gold products for sale :

It currently lists only two items available for sale in Canada 100oz Bars for US $172,823.20
or 400oz Bars for US $690,692.80

All smaller items listed on this page , 43 types of coins and bars of various sizes are listed as

Out of Stock

I really don't think the 48 month average and other price cycles take this into account so you might a well throw that idea out at least until inventories get back to a more normal level.


Gold will go up but by how much and when it turns down are not so easily determined by ordinary moving averages.
