RE:Downside??Literally can't go t!ts up :)
In all seriousness, the immediate worry is their ability to contiue operations while they execute on whatever the plan is for bereages. So far I am not convinced that their flower sales are going to be enough to hold them over.
It will be much more apparent once we see the next Quarterly, where we will see an almost full quarter of rec sales (in addition to any other wholesale there might be). I fully expect a large loss here, mainly because they will get hit with impairment charges on inventory (they inexplicably valued their biological assets way too high last quarter - more than what they are selling at retail right now).
The financing from Sen is both good and bad - good in that it shows he is likely not going to let this thing sink and is still fully on board with the plan, and there is hope that with the small finance amount they hope to start really generating real revenue in the short term. Bad news in that it signifies that they aren't making enough on flower to sustain operations. JMO on how I'm reading things.
The other main concern (and biggest by far) that is hanging over this stock, is management execution ability. We all believe the tech is there. It likely could be the best product to ever hit a shelf - but will it ever hit a shelf is the question. History has shown that the best product doesn't always end up the most successful. Beta losing out to VHS is the most famous example probably.
Having said the above, I am of course still holding becuase I still believe the story and see the immense potential of this market segment. I echo the sentiment of many of you that the journey on this board has been great, and has taken the edge of the losses on this stock over the past year. This is the best board by far to talk SPR, or talk sh!t on SPR :)
As always, GLTA!
