RE:RE:Is This A Good Long Term HoldI invite you to look at what happened during the last recession (2008-09).
The monthly dividend went from $0.096 to $0.057 in late 2007 and to $0.025 in August 2008. A steady recovery started in July 2009 (then several increases of $0.05 until 2013) to reach $0.065. A monthly dividend of $0.07 was paid from November 2016 to March 2020.
Same management in place with a big ownership in the company and a lot of experience/knowledge.
Lastly and from the last press release:
Balance Sheet and Liquidity
Following our many treasury accomplishments in the fall of 2019, Chesswoood enhanced its liquidity considerably while our leverage remains moderate. We have ample capacity today to fund new business, although in the short run we expect volumes to remain modest.
"In these most uncertain times we must be as nimble as possible while our collections and customer service teams work very hard to reach acceptable and helpful solutions for our customers seeking payment accommodation. We believe that our skills in collections and risk mitigation will help us manage effectively through these challenges" said Shafran.
