RE:DRIP US ACCOUNTMy shares are in a CDN$ account with RBC Direct.
My new, dripped shares cost me CDN$18.40 each.
So you got a slightly better deal. I only earned 22 new shares so it's not such a big deal, but I do plan to hold these shares for another 10 or 20 years. I own 2 other stocks that pay in US$ and if I switch all 3, over 20 years, the difference could be material.
So I'm going to look into switching to holding my shares in US$.
If anyone with RBC Direct knows what this involves, I'd be interested in hearing from you. I'm not even going to bother trying to phone them right now.

Drip price was 13.299. US(Includes 5% discount)
Converted using Dividend payout exchange rate posted in earlier post:
.194085/.141(US Dividend amount)=1.3764 CDN exch.
1.3764x$13.299=$18.353 CDN cost(Again,includes 5% discount)
Price before discount is $18.353x1.05=$19.22 CDN.
So anyone with a DRIP in a CDN account can compare what their price ended up being.
For me,in the past when I held AQN in a Canadian account my DRIP cost always worked at higher.Thats why I flipped my shares to the US account. But maybe things have changed?
