Bakema is a weird mix of arrogance, stupidity and greed.  Not exactly the combination you'd want in a CEO of a public company.

A buddy of mine from New York, who is better connected here than I am, told me last week that the reason the submission to the FDA got pulled was because the blithering idiot decided part way through it to change the design of the array.  Doing so invalidated all the test data so the FDA told him they needed another 285 tests doing with the new array.  Given they had already failed to get the audit completed on time they couldn't raise the money to fund the additional tests.  Incompetence piled on incompetence.  All to try and save $40 apparently.  Added of course to all the other money he'd pissed away on country club membership, his house renovations and a private jet piloted by Joe Lynch no less, who he had paid $200,000 to for the privilege.

The guy is pond life.  And he has the cheek to want $2m from us shareholders as a pay off!  Roll on the litigation.  They have no D&O so be interesting to see how they fight it.
