Of course higher is better for them, but depending on their priorities it may (and likely is) a better choice to liquidate out of this dog and put their money to better use from a risk/return perspective.
Conversion price isn't the only metric to identify if they're in a gain/loss scenario. MMCAP was also given almost 1M shares and a bunch of warrants, in addition to the 8% they've been getting on the CD's. If you aggregate all those factors in, their break even is likely well below 10.5 cents.
If it is indeed MMCAP's wish to liquidate their position in SPR, this share price isn't going anywhere for the foreseeable future unless we get some blockbuster news.
