Getting 86% on your high school math test or a driver's licence test is great but a medical test that achieves 86% - not good enough.
There was a significant "first mover" advantage when these tests starting coming out. Society wanted a test and "any" test was better than none. But in light of the Spartan fiasco and legislator blowback in the US I think that this advantage is slipping away (or already lost).
I knew that the window of opportunity was small because as tests become better and more available the medical community and governments will migrate towards the best test possible. This is natural of course because it's better to test once and be confident in the result. If only the tests had been ready a few weeks ago - the window would still have been small but management might have been able to make a bit of revenue before their market collapsed.
There may still be some opportunity for secondary markets - other countries and private industry but, for me personally, I'm switching to SZLS and SONA.
