Humm I wonder where we are at? April pot sales jump in Illinois despite shelter-in-place orders
Cannabis sales in Illinois came to US$37.3 million in April, the first full month where residents had to observe quarantine orders due to COVID-19. The Chicago Tribune reports that the sales figures are just shy of the total seen in January, the first month of legal recreational cannabis sales in Illinois. April’s sales bring the state’s total legal weed sales to about $147.5 million over the last four months, according to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. For contextual purposes, Illinois' sales figures for April are just shy of what Ontario reported back in February.
