RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Share Buyback Coming?
I agree that the company got a good deal, at the time, on the share buyback. However, one month later, the SP had slipped to .55 cents from .58 cents and today is at .175 cents. Where was the benefit there to the average investor? Could that money not have been put to a better use? Maybe invest in in more R+D, better advertising, etc. Even if we buy back 5 million shares, there will still be 112 million shares outstanding. It will have a negligible impact on ebitda, it will, at best, prop up the SP temporarily and give insiders an opportunity to off load their options. Baylin Technologies started a share buyback last Sept when their shares were trading at $2.19 and now, 9 months later, their shares are trading at $1.23, what did that share buyback achieve My point is, there are a lot of better uses for that cash, artificially propping up the SP should not be one of them.
