RE:Q1 2020 Net Loss

RE:Q1 2020 Net Loss

Seriously dude?
1. They wrote down the value of their assets, they didn't actually lose cash (non-cash charge).
2. when/if prices recover, they can write the assets back up (non-cash gain).
3. the market could see this and already took them to the woodshed by taking the share price down to $.24 in March.
4. The market is now looking to "recovery" so as long as their wasn't any surprises in the look back quarter (which their wasn't), the market is fine with where the SP is. The market was already prepared for these E&P stocks to have brutal write-downs and losses.
