RE:Fund Blacklists Canadian OilAny fund is entitled to not buy shares in any company for any reason, because the fund is not breaking any laws.
I see the Norwegian fund, which supports a very high standard of living for the average person in Norway, has not be frittered away to zero by stupid(or corrupt) governments in Edmonton, as happened to Alberta's Heritage Fund.
The refusal of the Norge Fund to hold shares on these companies will not IMHO, affect the price of these companies' shares to a noticeable degree.
Basically that fund shouldn't hold shares in any oil companies, as they all contribute to greenhouse gas build up & thus global warming.
