Hi 145,

I have to agree with you. Anything but what they did would have been better! Bombardier will be a good business case study on what not to do! Sure hindsight is 20/20, but giving the CSeries away for no cash in return, plus an obligation for Bombardier to invest more $ didn't make any sense. The only thing I can think of, is Bellemare probably thought that the company would go bankrupt if they didn't do it because the CSeries was such a money pit. can't believe I got caught in this nightmare. Oh well! Seemed like a good idea at the time!

quote=bbdbinvestor145]What shame.

This company wouldn't be here now if they handled the CSeries sale right. If they only had sold it to the Chinese or MHI? We wouldn't be here now. What did the Canadian Govt's gain from that sale to Europe? Only Europe gained. We got the debt. Europe got the benefit. The Canadian/QC (Govt's, Public Service) have to wake one day. Other than just stealing from the public purse I see no progress from them.

Cheers

   Management took it upon themselves to go against a duopoly without any viable strategic planning or contingency plan. No one forced them to go into such a development plan without some kind of startegic partner whether it be another company or backing from the governments before they made that decision to go it alone.
  most all that is going wrong with the Bomber has to do with that massive debt or is somehow related to that debt.
was it being naive or being negligent..
In the end, imo it was both and the fault rests with the family and not any government.

They are going to have to turn the corner themselves, irrespective them getting any covid-19 help as that IMO they are entitled to like any other as long as the same rules apply for all.  They are going to be where they were 30 years ago in terms of size, if so  and if all their deals go through as planned.

He has milked millions out of the company and us shareholders have suffered
and almost put the company out of business-
The  right thing for him to do is resign.
Enough is enough.
I am not putting another dollar in this company until he is gone.
I wish you all good luck in your transactions-
Stay well-stay safe
