RE:RE:RE:Why sp declined yesterdayIf you know as a scientist what the method of action of a drug is why shouldn't you be able to say that you are doubtful that it will work or not? Let's say that there is some anecdotal evidence that vitamin C cure the coronavirus. Now, let's say some clinical trials are started. Can the scientist say he is doubtful? Why is this bad science. The statement is made base on his knowledge, i.e., Science.

He shouldn't have "doubted" the drug before trials, he should have been waiting for the evidence. So if he was a good scientist he wouldn't have been "proved right", he would have simply waited for the data to inform him. If he was sharing an opinion before the trials that the drug was doubtful then that's bad science, even if ultimately he's proven right. Did Bright doubt the drug before the trial results or just correct Trump's wrongful support for it? I know Fauci's response to Trump support for the drug was to say let's wait to see what the large trial says.

This pandemic is far from over and reopening too soon without proper level of testing is a sure way to make it worst. Dr. Bright said that a vaccine in 18 months is an aggressive schedule. He also said that we should be ready for the darkest winter in modern history. That's from a doctor who doubted hydroxy chloroquine as a solution to this crisis. He has been proven right by clinical trials results.
I guess that people investing in a biopharma company believe in science. What the science is telling us is that there is no short term solution in view to this pandemic. Only social distancing can keep it at bay for the time being. As soon as people will start to act normally, the virus transmission will go higher. Too many people forget, or prefer to ignore the fact that the level of the pandemic that we saw in the last month was with social distancing. Without it it would have been much worse. The only way for the coming months to maintain a decent level of economic activity, is large scale testing, case tracing, and mandatory wearing of a good mask.
I still belive in Thera, but since I sold I did not invest in anything else. My position is not against Thera, it's against the stock market in general. I think it's overvalued right now because interest rate are so low. Investors have nowhere else to go, but the economic reality is there nonetheless. Back to Thera, maybe with confirmation of a green light from FDA/EMA for a NASH phase III the stock wil go higher, but I still think it will be challenging to hold a trial during a pandemic. The best case is it will take longer than expected. Don't see that as bashing. I always said that this board had no influence on the stock price. I said that when I was in, I still think it's true now that I am out. I am just trying to give my view to explain why the stock is declining after a bump up.

My firm used to have clients move out of our management. Many times it was the adult children that decided to take their parents' money to their advisor in their local region when their parents die. Back in 2011 & 2012 I also had a few clients leave our firm when the adult children's advisor look for holes in my portfolio I had put together for their parents. They would look for a stock like THTX that was risky and not performing. They would use that as a tool to convince a few of my clients to move their money away from my firm. And, when they moved, they would quickly sell the stock (THTX) that they were giving as the reason for selling it. They never addressed the overall performance of my clients' portfolio, just focused on the stock that had performed so poorly. I bought another 6,000 shares at close last night. The story is still there but the stock is on life support but I believe it will recover. I agree with WINO in that THTX is now a value stock and no value stock managers even look at this stock.
