RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Lets make it simpleAl! this talk of what the share price will be years from now is fine as a "fun thought experiment". However, no one knows where the stock will be years from now. There are too many variables both in and outside of the control of any company in the future. No one knows if the company will still exist 5 years from now. A bigger company could make a take over bid at any time as an example. The best advice I've always followed is one you mentioned recently. On a regular basis analyse any stock you own and see if the reasons you bought it are still intact and if they are keep investing in it.
