RE:RE:RE:Agree or notstockitnow, I wasn't saying that I wanted BBD.B to keep BT.  I also feel that the Aviation will do much better once everything is unloaded as in no longer consolidated on the balance sheet.  What I said was there's a better financial structure that gets BBD more money in the long-term (and thus less debt) than selling to Alstom. If it was your typical 3rd party deal, then there might not be any choice. But its not. Their partner - CDPQ - has deep pockets.  Also, if Bombardier doesn't have much debt, fine, time to move on.  But again, this is not the case. They have a lot of debt. Getting $5B, even $4B instead of $3Bish makes a difference going forward for BA because they carry less debt and will pay less interest as well since their credit rating will be better. This is quite clear to me at least. YMMV. IMO. Etc...
