McInnis cement - Call for innovation in CO2 reduction

McInnis cement - Call for innovation in CO2 reductionThe largest cement plant in Canada, McInnis cement, is actively searching for innovative carbon capture and utilization technologies. Check out the link below. This could be a chance for Pyrogenesis to introduce their plasma torch technology to a Cement plant in their backyard.

Carbon capturing (CC) is extremely expensive and consumes vast amounts of energy. Pyrogenesis’ torches are a good start (they cut ~40% of GHG emissions from the plant’s use of fuel in cement kilns) and CC can be used as a complementary measure to remove the rest of the CO2 emitted from the calcination reaction in cement production.

Peter said he would bring it to the attention of his team. Hopefully something comes out of it!
