RE:RE:Couldn’t be more disappointedI for one am actually pleased by this for a number of reasons: 1.) I believe they have a large investor (FGP or maybe CC&L) that wants out. This allows them to exit their position without driving the price down. 2.) A special dividend would create an immediate tax event for many investors so better to use a strategy that can delay that 3.) What better company to invest in than one you know and you know is grossly undervalued rather than going off and investing in firms and technologies you know nothing about? 4.) It shows the market place that the Board believes the shares are undervalued. What message would a special dividend give? 5.) Assuming the NCIB is substantial (and I think this time it will be!...hope they give a bit more clarity on the call) then that should put upward pressure on the share price over time. 6.) Going the NCIB route, as opposed to a special dividend, allows the firm to be a bit flexible if a good buying opportunity comes by given the COVID-19 mess 7.) It will improve EPS which I believe the street is more focused on going forward 8.) I know a special dividend seemed to have worked (pumped up the share price) for Virnetx but we have a lot more going on that the cash can be used for to generate revenues than them. 9.) The SIB should flush out the non-believers in the stock and bring in some new blood that understands the business a bit better and have the patience that many of the current shareholders don't have. My thoughts...Chi
