Marathon Gold Corporation is a Canada-based gold exploration and development company. The Company’s primary business focus is the exploration and development of its flagship asset, the wholly owned Valentine Gold Project, located in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The project comprises a series of five mineralized deposits along a 32- kilometer system. Its prospects are located along the Valentine Lake Shear Zone and include Frank Zone, Rainbow Zone, Triangle Zone, Victoria Bridge, Narrows, Victory Southwest, Victory Northeast, and the Berry Zone. In addition to the Valentine Gold Project in the Central Region of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Company holds 100% interests in the Bonanza Mine, a former mine located in Baker County in northeastern Oregon, the Gold Reef property, an exploration property consisting of approximately 12 hectares of claims located near Stewart, British Columbia; and a 2% net smelter returns royalty on precious metal sales by the Golden Chest mine in Idaho.

Excellent Presentation

Excellent PresentationThe presentation was very informative and Manson's discussion and his answers to the few questions very well detailed albeit there could have been a few more, time permitting. Well Done.

As far as the question on everyone mind the resumption of drilling. My take on it aside from when it becomes safe to resume is that the 2020 drill campaign is Icing on the cake so to speak. It's clear that they have an economical resource which can increase in scale with further and ongoing exploration over time, while the main focus is on engineering and bringing the mine into fruition.

My view is Marathon is still a takeover candidate. The new exploration drilling is continuing to show positive results with more to come perhaps another pit descovery? Combined that bonus with the proven resource this may attract the interest of a suitor or J.V. partner looking to acquire or participate in a resource with both economies of scale and potential upside. Who knows out of the blue we may just see it happen? Those 12 month shares warrents may not have to wait the full term.
