RE:RE:Disappointing

RE:RE:Disappointing

Disappointing is the best description of my (initial) reaction. The partnership carrot is them trying keep the hope. I'm a numbers guy, so I'll be interested to hear the commentary around the numbers before deciding on next steps. As with everything in life, disappointments for some actually turn out to be opportunities for others. If the colour commentary they provide is reasonable and the short-term players don't look beyond the headlines and run for the doors - time to double down.

Some background...... As a former CFO of a TSX and NASDAQ listed bleeding-edge company when I first started doing some DD on XBC, I listened to their archived Q3 investor call, I sent the CEO an email with some thoughts on positioning and messaging as the company gets ready for Life beyond the venture exchange. I also included some compliments on things I thought they were doing well. Now that I had skin in the game I just wanted them to do well. I didn't get a reply of course but one major constructive point I made and has come to pass. "Under promise and over deliver" in response to a comment that they made "looking to acquire 8-10 companies in 2020" AND that they had built those into their revenue expectations for 2020. Both are no-no's IMHO.

I didn't know that COVID was going to happen (but did expect a pull back in the markets) - but that's the point, know one knows with 100% certainty how things will roll out. This will be a learning opportunity for XBC investors to see how they respond - you play the cards you're dealt. Let's see how they play their hand.
