Have you ever seen price discrepancies between your trading platform, in this case RBC, and TMX and even inside TMX itself?
RUS shows a close price of 15.25 on TMX and 14.87 on RBC. However, a current quote on TMX is calculated correctly as the difference from 14.87 not 15.25.
Yesterday's closing minute(s) indeed had an abrupt drop in price but RBC is a broker and TMX is the source so how the !@#$ can TMX be wrong?
My explanation is that the last trade happened on a secondary market and TMX displays the last price of their own last trade.
It means that if you use an app to check prices soon after close you may be in for a nice or nasty surprise later on :)  / :(
