RE:West Gold holds 56.9 million RNX shares, biggest shareholderJimJon,
Westgold's holding of RNC of 56.9Ms (or approx 9%OS) is correct for the original arrangement when RNC bought HGO property, as indicated in Westgold pdf link you provided (this was a 2019 report, hence the holding is not up-to-date).

As I recall, Westgold has divested about 4% of its holding in RNC, leaving Eric Sprott as the lead major shareholder of about 8%OS. This was done in 2020 (around April?). There was some discussion on this topic but I could not lay may hand on the information. Perhaps, you and others could track this down. RNC now has a lot more institutional investors, perhaps this 4%OS has been bought among the new institutional investors in some private arrangement.

A quasi sale/merger agreement was agreed in the second half of the year that resulted in the operating subsidiaries being divested to RNC Minerals for a total consideration of A$50 million to be received as approximately 42% in cash and remainder in shares, moving Westgold to become the largest shareholder in RNC minerals with a holding of just above 10%.

The merger aspect of the divestment was about the aggregation of assets of both groups into one entity in the region. The addition of the exciting Beta Hunt mine and its output to HGO provided a catalyst for a longer life and brighter future for the operations
