CLA-1816 strongly binds with and activates the alpha3 glycine pain receptor in the spine. The Company has leased a laboratory, office, and archival space in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Why would Salzman sell if the treatment was so good?

The answer is simple; they are basically amalgamating with a company that is publically traded so that they don't have to take the time and cut through all the red tape required to go public themselves.
