RE:RE:Dave Portnoy Buying theScore

RE:RE:Dave Portnoy Buying theScore

I think your reasoning for selling was sound in the short-medium term. Sports not for a few months + earnings from betting a few months after that would take us to EOY.

I was hoping with DKNG taking off, there'd be momentum in this stock, but I didn't expect this.

I'll take this.

I've been in this stock for two years now and watched it for three. I sold out of Stars Group (what a yoyo that stock was-- I used to date a girl who lived in Pointe-Claire and would often pass their old HQ (known as Amaya then) in Montreal) and bought in to this.

I live a few minutes walk from TheScore, have passed John Levy on sidewalk and even seen people wearing TheScore shirts in my gym. There's a bit of bias about a homegrown tech/betting company, I'll admit, but I think this company has lots of potential while having small expectations. Which means it'll be easy to surprise analysts and get the growth we're all hoping.

My rationale at this point is: all governments need all the extra revenue they can get and it's hard to say no to those juicy tax dollars they are seeing in Jersey.
