RE:RE:RE:Gap up Monday morningI wouldn't care if the recovery of AC's share back towards $50 was slow and steady -but that doesn't seem to be the case with the US airlines. AAL up over 60% last week alone.
In fact, AAL was up over 52% in one day last week, as investors rushed back in to try and take advantage of the crazy low stock prices. To me that suggests a recovery could bea violent swing upwards, whereby investors miss the boat. Imagine if you had sold AAL a week ago, only to watch it rise over 52% in one day -that would be brutal.
So to me,the movement we have seen with the US airlines is an indicator that there is an investor appetite for airline stocks NOW. It makes sense, you are not going to earn 250% on your money if you wait until everything is completely back to normal to buy AC -by then AC will be $45 per share.
