You just asked the million dollar question that all of the day-dreamers on this board aren't even smart enough to ask. Applying for a trademark on a name has nothing to do with filing a "patent" on a formula, and has absolutely zero to do with exporting anything to the US - which as you mention is completely illegal as pot remains illegal at the federal level in the US - and the Canada-US border is a federal border. US-based pot companies can't even export between state because moving cannabis across a state line is illegal.

This "trademark application" is like JM announcing he filed an application for a grow license in Lesotho. Remember that folks? Where'd that go? I guess a man's gotta have dreams... Keep dreaming!
