RE:Trading desks playing with share priceGoodtoreadthis1 wrote: WM has EXTREMELY big potential. It's over a buck in Canada and biggies based in Canada want to get in. The easiest way to get in is to steal shares at low and lower prices. So this great potential stock has it's stock price going in the opposite direction from what logic says should happen. Small holders may not be doing enough work to fully understand the actual potential of WM so they throw up their hands and sell. Particularly vulnerable are those using stops on their position. Trading desks can see those stops; so completely legally desks signal each other to step aside -don't bid-and the trader drops the bid to the level of the stop loss and snatchs the stock.
Once the biggies appetites are sated the share price starts to climb again. This is a big buying opportunity given to us by trading desks. Happens all the time with fundamentally sound co like WM.
