RE:Bloom

It's a fascinating mining story, PJ. That's it. Nothing more complicated than that. Why do people assemble tiny boats in glass bottles? Why do guys sit around watching a bunch of players run around on a television screen? To me, that's a waste of time. But to them it's fascinating.

I'll admit you're right that there isn't much personal benefit in a financial sense. Aside from information, these boards don't matter from a trading standpoint to anyone. Long term trends determine share price. You make your trade, and either the stock goes up or down.

It's fun to debate ideas. Yet I have to admit, this isn't much of a discussion. It's basically me pointing out numerous flaws in the story, and most of the others screaming and yelling, telling me to stop pointing those flaws out. I know many people follow this discussion, which accounts for the withering harassment. Posters trying to cast the Company in a favourable light feel threatened by my comments and become hyper defensive. Which makes it all the more exciting! It's obviously in the public interest to hear another point of view about a publicly traded company.

But yes, you're absolutely right, PJ. I have little to gain. But neither do the other posters here. I'm very sceptical that posters can talk a stock up or down. Money moves stocks, not talk.
