Buys/sells thru brokerage housesI often see this on these bulletin boards - Morgan Stanley bought x number of shares of a stock. It's often interpreted that it's the brokerage firm (in this case MS) buying for themselves. OR it could be this. Joe Investment Advisor - who works for Morgan Stanley - is sitting at his desk. He gets a call from a client who says "buy me shares of Quarterhill" Advisor says "Quarter what?" Client says "it's a patent royalty company that just won against Apple" Advisor looks at the charts and says "looks like a loser - I wouldn't recommend it" client insists So Advisor puts in trade and it goes through Morgan Stanley's trading desk. Next day someone on a BB says Morgan Stanley was buying QTRH. Just pointing something out some might not realize. Can you tell I'm bored today? Cheers M87
