SCC Decision Announcement & Spread 5b Update

SCC Decision Announcement & Spread 5b UpdateHi All,

The Supreme Court of Canada will announce tomorrow if it will hear the appeal from several first nations groups.

You will recall that the Federal Court of Appeal ruled unanimously in favour of Trans Mountain in February; however, based on the share price, it appears that the market would prefer to see this case closed before ascribing value to Macro for this contract.

Also, as you will recall from one of my previous posts, June 26th was an important date for "objectors" to submit information requests and the CER has posted all of them on the website. Unless you are retired I do not recommend digging through this!

The gem in this sea of non-sense though was the following linked document which requests relief and expedited timing so that a yard in Hope cab be set up by July 15th for "Contractor mobilization for early works and the start of construction in Spread 5b".

I consider this to be an extremely positive development for Macro to start construction this summer.

Happy Canada Day!
