RE:Is Supreme moving any production outdoors?

RE:Is Supreme moving any production outdoors?

In my opinion, other than bugs, pests, and mould which would need to be irradiated, growing low end as the plants become more mature (longer growing cycle) and very big outside leaving a less desirable product, (think of veal and normal meat cows, the teens always would taste better of course) but would actually be a great way to cut electrical expenses and to compete against the lower prices. However, the savings as a smaller grower would be great but as a LP don't think it would end up saving much if any. The LPs need to sell packaged oz's for less than $100. I originally thought Hexos model at $125 was great. But keep in mind they still need to be profitable at that level, which I highly doubt they would be still growing outside. There is still tons of labour involved and overhead with bank debt, rent for big offices, tsx fees, lawyers, managers, growers, trimmers, general staff etc, make it a killer.  Also the 30g purchase/possession limit is a drain, think about how many individual customers you would need to sell to, in order to make sense of that math, instead of 1 customer buying lots in a bulk package, you now need 100s buying little bits, lots of high shipping costs that get absorbed by the company and packaging vessels become very expensive to buy and package. Canada again, butchering the legistion to only allow 30g.

So in short, even though I think your right, still don't see how it's profitable on a LP scale. Again, nothing in Canada is working until the legislation is fixed. .25c is still better than 0 people.

Some Canadian cannabis producers are growing outdoors, where the light is free
While many pot producers started out with massive indoor facilities to prepare for the legalization of cannabis in Canada, a handful have turned to outdoor cultivation in order to take advantage of savings from free sunlight and lower electricity and staffing costs.
