Latest press release - ore grade intersectionThe big picture is that there is a large, untested gold system to the south and southeast. An intersection of 22.4 m of 1.5 g/t is exploitable by open pit, especially 35 km outside of Sudbury along pre-existing infrastructure. Too bad that this intersection is so deep down but it is only the first hole! Narrow, higher grade intersections within (or on the entire property for that matter!) should not be confused with an underground mine. This is all near surface stuff!
I now fully understand the company's interest in the south and southeast and the need for an expanded IP survey ASAP. I now fully understand why drilling has been halted and why the exploration geologists have been sent to other parts of the property for the next month or two.
Gold is soluble in superheated water (>100 C) under certain pH and eH conditions. Gold falls out of solution for reasons. A limestone layer will change the solubility of gold very quickly. It is not surprising that this intersection is in limestone. The limestone to the south is now a huge exploration target.
Flippers will not like today's press release but I do. 22.4 m of 1.5 g/t is mine grade! Now we need a lot more of the same.
