RE:RE:RE:RE:GOOS to make health medical gear, gowns
Learn how to do math, I am 37.
You are missing the point. Which is that this whole consumer discretionary industry should be avoided for the foreseeable future. No one is going to show off their COVID coyote parkas in a gathering, much less in the mood to slurge on over-the-top expensive items. If they spend on luxury it will be related to their homes where they are spending most of their time either working/unemployed at home. Case in point - Lululemon buying out Mirror home fitness.
The investment thesis as it relates to this sector and particulary GOOS one-trick pony is simple, avoid it and sell at every rally. Bad news, downgrades and bankrupcies will come. We are just at the tip of the iceberg.
My April post rubbing into the $5 gown and masks is precisely because that very action highlights the crux of the problem for GOOS, that the current situation is such that they have nothing better to produce then the worthless masks and gowns for COVID that is criplling them. It could not have been any more audicious, it was like an annoucement that they are going out of business. We don't need GOOS to make masks they have no idea what they are doing anyways. Leave that to companies like 3M. There is not a doubt in my mind that this GOOS is done.
