RE:RE:RE:RE:Bingo

RE:RE:RE:RE:BingoThe pelletizing stage is one of the first stages in the process from iron ore to steel. Iron pellets are an input to the Direct Reduction Ironmaking (DRI) or Blast furnace ironmaking process.

MIDREX is a leader in the DRI process, so like developbc said they wouldn't be in competition.

developbc wrote: No they would not be in partnership.  Not competitors either as there are many stages of the iron ore pelletization process where PYR plasma torches are only for the induration furnace which they have full lock on patents.  This announcement by Midrex and Vale is just a non-binding agreement to look into ways to lower GHG in all other aspects of the process but keep in mind that might take years anyways.

They wouldn't be in competition with one another would they? (Midrex vs PYR)

Yes very nice that Vale is fully committed to lower GHG throughout their iron pellitzation process...especially the blast furnace component part.  The induration part, hardening and curing of the actual iron ore pellets, which they intend to switch out to plasma torches...guess who holds the patent for induration heat via plasma torch process - PYROGENESIS!!  Very exciting times!

Oh btw please put your comments on 1 or 2 posts as it clogs up the forum with uncessary dribble. I noticed you flip flop a lot...bash/pump/bash/pump.
