Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Red Flag

Red FlagI have been an Aphria shareholder for a long time and to me the fact they even considered a merge with ACB is a huge red flag. ACB has about twice as much debt as cash on hand, this would mean Aphria would have more debt than cash. It would be heavily diluted and the SP would stay in the same range bc it would be so heavily diluted. There is literally no advantage for Aphria to do this.

This tells me Aphria has no big deals coming, no partnership with a big player. The worst part is it sounds like it was pretty much a done deal with the exception of executive compensation. (AKA, Simon did not get the millions he wanted). SImon needs to go, he is not an asset to the company, and definitely does not care about the SP or shareholders. If ACB and Aphria merge I am out.
