RE:Some numbers

RE:Some numbers Bombardier Transportation is what paid for the development of the cseries .  BT has always been the cash cow, but maybe they tapped too hard on that faucet for too long.
stockitnow wrote: From Feb 13th 2020 bombardier release the backlog for Transportation was 35.8 billion. With 5% margin which was reach recently bombardier will make roughly 1.79 billion. So if Bombardier is getting 4.2 billion after CDPQ portion then isnt it a good deal to sell. I understand there are money to be made on aftermarket and maintenance deals but that has been offset a lot by warranty repair. With Aviation backlog of 14.4 billion then and now 13 billion and with 11% margin bombardier wil make 1.43 billion plus healthy aftermarket revenue. To me selling rail and keeping aviation was the right choice. Bombardier has more competitors on rail then aviation so that gives bombardier more breathing room. Once rail is gone then bombardier will be more stable and rail backlog doesn't matter when margins are thin.
