RE:Beacon Securities covers CloudMD in their morning noteI've been researching this stock for the past week. Having no interest in pumping or knocking DOC, I can't help but question the enthusiasm on this board. While the company is in a favourable space, the company has done relatively little of significance to date and management background does not inspire confidence, i.e., they are lightweights. We don't know management's exact background because the company website is vague on details.
To not provide more details is purposeful ... it's b/c details are not beneficial. For example, under the COO's description, it says, "she worked at Scotiabank’s Head Office. Kanchan has 8 years of progressive experience working in several industries including start-ups in the healthcare and technology spaces."
Really, what does this mean? What exactly were her roles?
Same with Hamza, the CEO. His bio states, "He also has extensive capital markets experience, taking private companies public and sitting on public company boards."
Again, what experience? What companies did he take public? And what boards does he sit on?
Stock got a bump from Globe and Mail article last week; now it's settled down. While I'd love to get excited about a company like this, given the potential, my due diligence tells me this company really doesn't have a whole lot going for it. There's a reason why they went public barely a month ago: b/c it was perfect timing given COVID meaning it was easy to raise funds ... not b/c the company is ready to take it to the next level. As for analyst reports, pls, take these with a grain of salt; anaylyst reports are promotional vehicles. And Motley Fool: anyone can write for Fool.
Then there are competitors like Telus Health which is much more advanced than DOC. Sure, you won't get eye popping returns from Telus stock but its a safer way to play the industry.Ad now you've got 6.3m shares free trading betwene Jul 20-30? I would certaily expect downward price pressure starting next week. But, if price holds well into August, well, that would be impressive.
GLTA, and don't get fooled by a good story that lacks substance.
