RE:Preferred sharesI think in the BofC announcement yesterday there was some guidance that negative rates in Canada are not being considered (still).

Negative yields in Canada would all but obliterate the original rate reset prefs in Canada (other than the rate reset "floor" prefs which have minimum yields).
