Back to the farm

Back to the farm
Went back out there.... 17 minutes to be exact.

The field is getting a much needed rain which is great for all the new plants in the ground.   About 50-60% of the fields are tilled and either planted or ready to be planted.   All of the plants are planted away from McClellan Rd and bordering the neighboring farm so it is hard to get a good look or take a photo.    I drew a map of what I saw tilled/planted.

In the photo from Vennat there is 1 big plant but the rest appear to be pretty small.    I wonder if they have gone the autoflower route.   Depending on the genetics they have chosen, the autoflowers would be somewhere around 12 weeks to go from seed to harvest.    If these plants are about 3 weeks old it would put harvest in the second half of September.   If they are doing this they would likely be staggering the growth of these plants to ensure they can harvest mythodically and save on labour/expenses by doing portions of the field at a time vs doing everything at once in a mad rush.

Autoflowers are more pest resistant and provide similar quality.    They do produce a smaller yield because they do not grow that tall, that is the trade off.

With everything I have seen I believe they are planting just over half of the field and doing it with autoflowering genetics.    The end goal being 12,000kg of QUALITY bud at the end of the season.
