instead of teetimes in texas, you book skitrips in alberta

instead of buying groceries and beer in florida, you buy it in ontario and quebec.

instead of turning the temperature down in your house to under 60 and going away for 3-6 months, you stay home and keep it at 72.  Multiply that by tens of thousands of houses, how much ng is that?

instead of paying for extraordinary medical insurance you don't use, you have much more disposable cash to spend at home.

florida alone gets 3.5 million canadian visitors a year(obviousily not all snowbirds). That is disney money is getting spent local this year.

how much more gas would be bought in canada if the snowbirds don't go south.

laugh if you want but closing the border is a major upside hit to the canadian economy.
