Altius Minerals

Altius MineralsAltius is looking for a partner to continue exploration of the site previously held by Antler Gold.
  • The Wilding Lake project, located in central Newfoundland, covers ~36 km of prospective strike length of the ~300 km regional gold-bearing Rogerson Lake structural corridor. To the immediate southwest of Wilding Lake the corridor hosts Marathon Gold Corporation's Valentine Lake project (with reported measured and indicated resources totaling 3.09 Moz. of gold at 1.75 g/t and inferred resources totaling 0.96 Moz. of gold at 1.78 g/t (www.marathon-gold.com).
  • The mineralizing system along this trend, as demonstrated on the Wilding Lake project, is capable of producing both high grade gold and significant widths (that include channel sample gold results of 6.0 g/t over 8.5m, 8.7 g/t over 6.7m, 49.3 g/t over 4.6m, and 28.8g/t over 1.0m from the Alder/Taz zone. Drill results include gold intercepts of 10.01 g/t over 5.35m including 49.92 g/t over 0.98m (Elm Zone), and 1.51 g/t over 11.0m (Red Ochre Complex).
  • The gold mineralization is epigenetic, structurally-controlled and often associated with splays or secondary structures off the regional-scale Rogerson Lake structural corridor. At Wilding Lake, gold mineralization is hosted by quartz-tourmaline veins associated with shearing along a thrust fault within the Rogerson Lake Conglomerate. Mineralization comprises both vein-hosted and altered wall-rock styles of mineralization with free-gold often in association with pyrite or base metals.
  • Work carried out at the Wilding Lake project during 2015-2017 comprised prospecting, soil sampling, trenching, geophysics (Mag and IP) and drilling (30 shallow drill holes totaling 2,599m). Several drill ready targets remain untested and large areas of the prospective structural corridor, including areas with gold in soil anomalies, still remain to be prospected.
