Good Time For Exploration Companies Like Ours !

Good Time For Exploration Companies Like Ours !

Right Rocks. Right Jurisdiction. Right Time!

Boom it was, 6 times over, 4 separate pits.
That is done, and it was worth doing. We are happy with the sort of things we saw in the pits, and in the rocks liberated form those pits. If you go to our Facebook page you can see videos of the blasts, as well as of the blast holes being loaded...check it out, it is honestly pretty cool. There is also a video where I show you the main blast pit, and some of the surprises it gave us...

The notch in this rock is one of the channels we cut into the Discovery Veins, now on the edge of the main blast pit, which revealed, as you can see, lots of quartz not too far below our channel, but not in our channel...above the channel you see the very top of the drill working on the site now.
Blasting revealed several instances of little or no veining on surface which appeared or widened within the blast pit, as seen on the walls. The blast ended in quartz underfoot, as the next picture shows.
Blasting also revealed something we have long suspected at New Alger (and remember, the Discovery Veins are the same rocks and structure type as the main mine area) - the existence of shallow dipping veins, in this instance to the south. this means veins which are not going the same way as the Cadillac Break (which is 85 degrees, almost vertical), instead these newly revealed Viens are flatter. At this stage this is important because it means we could have been drilling between these veins, parallel to them...and missed them entirely! Needless to say our newest program takes the existence of these veins into account.
We have taken multiple (18) rice bags of 80 lbs or so samples, these will be processed for recovery information, in order to obtain the information we need about each blast pit for future processing.
In addition to this several members of our geological team will be mapping the pits and taking samples of all of the different rock and mineralization types which have been revealed, in order to start to learn about the relationship of each rock type or mineralization (ie. biotite, pyrite, feldspar, garnet etc.) to gold.
The flat whitish/grey rock with a bit of staining in the foreground is the same as the one I am standing on, quartz. you can follow it to the same thing in the west wall of the large blast pit. If you follow either of the two large quartz dilations (blobs, or blowouts) to the surface, you will see they became wee tiny veins on the surface....the secrets which blasting revealed!
SO now we are drilling...I expect the program will drill for around 3 weeks, concentrated on the Discovery Veins, both infill drill holes within the stripped area and step out drill holes to the west. WE are not looking for gold in the general sense, we ARE instead trying to define how much is contained in the Discovery Vein structure...but, as you see from what we saw in the blast pit relative to the surface and our previous sampling it is not always an easy thing to hit what you cannot see....
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, stay tuned, we have a drill turning, sample results expected, samples going in....lots happening!
And frankly, most importantly...we have the RIGHT rocks, in the RIGHT jurisdiction, at the RIGHT time!
Enjoy the waning of your weekend and have a wonderful week ahead -Nicole
