There is little doubt about the worldwide demand for the test kits. The question remains: How quickly can Sona ramp up to supply the demand? That in itself will dictate the sp.
Sona will be working very to arrange manufacturing contracts with reliable companies and that has already been confirmed.
They work with OPERON an interesting company based in Spain that, as well as collaberating on R&D are one of Europe´s largest suppliers of Lateral Flow Tests supplying over 50 countries including UK,US and Far East. They have additional capacity and are already registered and validated by FDA , Japan and many others.
They work with Expedeon, now part of Abcom, and therefore a German and UK connection. I believe that they are also negotiating manufacturing in US and Canada.
There is also the possibility of Licensing Agreements, as discussed a few days ago, and that is an option that is commented on as a possible pathway in the conditions of the NGen grant. This is an interesting possibility that we should look out for and brings an alternative source of revenue.
