RE:Tinley InterviewNotables from this interview:
1) The dude doing it is not very exciting
2) Jeff says um and you know way too much
3) They haven't fully stress tested the new LBF lines and it isn't 'fully commissioned'
4) They still haven't finalized their CDN partner
5) He was asked what they expected to achieve in the next 6 months and wouldn't commit to any dates for anything we all are currently talking about but said they were excited to bring the products to CDN and that copacking would bring visibility to the company
6) Great comment, cannabis beverages is the last great frontier in cannabis and has the best chance to bring a non-cannabis user to the table
7) Last part of the interview he is asked to provide a reason for investors to invest and the key point was the experience level of the mgmt team in bringing non-alcoholic drinks to market and the exposure to cannabis beverage, albeit one was dissected more than the other in terms of his explanation
Sadly, this interview failed to get me excited at all and it was potentially a cross between the guy doing the interview, the phrasing of the questions and Jeff's primary focus on Beckett's with Tinley's almost never being mentioned by name. He mostly generalized it as cannabis beverages.
Jeff really seems more excited about Beckett's and the possibility it will do well given current trends and forgive me for being skeptical of the fact, I truly believe this is a saturated market and not one they should focus on. Especially, given the fact Jeff explicitly stated twice that Cannabis beverages is the last great frontier. Makes me wonder how Rick was inticed to come and work for Tinley. Was it the opportunity to build a first mover cannabis beverage company or an opportunity to participate in the trend of low/no alcohol along with a host of other companies.
All that to say, I have tried all of Canopy's offerings in CDN and the only one that I feel is decent was the bakerstreet with 28 grams of sugar per can. This company has a huge opportunity to become a cornerstone company (think prohibition) for all time in the CANNABIS BEVERAGE space, cheers to keeping that focus and using Beckett's revenue to fund it.
