RE:PYR and HPQ...The fact that both PYR and HPQ are going up strong / trending sideways on a relatively quiet few weeks is a good sign of the interest in what both companies are doing. Feels like most of the investors get the story & potential now and are holding tight to their shares.
PYR's projects aren't pie-in-the-sky dreams, they're fueled by actual solid R&D tech that PYR has built based on years of accumulated braintrust & plasma expertise. DROSRITE, NEXGEN, PUREVAP, & their high-power plasma torches provide unique advantages over competing processes.
DROSRITE is the most cost-effective & cleanest dross metal recovery process.
NEXGEN provides the best combination of production rate of powder (28kg/h)+ powder quality & particle size distribution + powder cost (Ti powder cheap enough to open new markets). Argon gas is one of the prime factors contributing to high Ti-6Al-4V powder cost; it is extremely expensive at ~$12 USD/m3. NEXGEN uses far less Argon per kg of powder produced than the closest competing technologies e.g. AP&C's version of Plasma Atomization & EIGA). I'll post a more detailed analysis of the NEXGEN system later on.
PYR's internal studies suggest PUREVAP will be able to make Silicon metal and nanomaterials at a much cheaper production cost than all existing processes. They have significantly de-risked the project by making it so versatile, and a positive conclusion looks extremely promising based on all the results presented to date.
All are going to be massive in their respective industries ...
especially their high-power torches which are already attracting huge interest in heavy industry, thanks to the push for GHG reductions. They have a patent that restricts others' use of plasma torches in induration furnaces, giving them a moat for this application. Not to mention the potential from other divisions like Waste destruction, Tunneling, etc... and who knows what else will come up in the near future (as Peter hinted on Agoracom, they have a patent for a CO2 destruction plasma process that will be announced in the next few months)
There's loads of promise with all of PYR's plasma offerings. I'm of the belief that this year's financial turnaround + upcoming torch deals are going to accelerate all the divisions' progress - think of all the ways PYR management can use the extra cashflow to accelerate their business. Not to mention how the increasing market cap is speeding up their uplisting & spinoff plans. Peter's prediction of a Barn Burner year is looking solid.
I actually think PYR's Q3 predictions are overly conservative. Even with no torch signings, EPS should be > $0.11 based on ~$6M+ revenue (at least $4M from DROSRITE) + ~$10M of appreciation in their strategic assets, primarily the HPQ stake. With the torch signings that we are all expecting, Q3 could gain further and especially Q4 which is where the numbers start to fly.
All that said... I agree ragingbull, every dip is a great buying opportunity IMO. I'll admit, I've also occasionally thought of selling a portion of shares and buying more when the price drops... but you never really know how things will play out or when the next NR will hit :P

Due to profit taking or shorting or whatever!
As far as Im concerned these are good buying opps!
Long and strong!
Go pyr go!
